Chase Hainline, DVM
Dr. Hainline grew up in central Illinois and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign to pursue a veterinary curriculum while a member of the varsity baseball team. He graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he spent time in clinics throughout Illinois. Finding himself continuously drawn to the lake area he had visited his entire life with family, he decided to join Osage Animal Hospital full time in 2021 and could not be happier with his decision.

Heather Brettschneider, DVM
Meet Dr. Brettschneider, a 2006 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine – Columbia. She started working at Osage Animal Hospital immediately after graduating. WOW! That’s a long time. Dr. Brettschneider takes pride in the compassion and emotional and mental investment she has for each patient in her care. One of the greatest rewards in her profession is to see a sick patient walk out of the clinic and go home with his/her family.
She married to her husband, David, and has three children, two sons (14 and 13) and a daughter (9). Completing her household are two dogs (Willow and Wrangler) and their newest member, a cat, Rubicon. Between her commitment to her patients/clients and their three children’s BUSY sports schedules, they don’t have an abundant amount of free time. But when they do, they enjoy traveling and exploring the outdoors. Their most recent hobby is off-roading/rock climbing in their Jeep.
She looks forward to meeting you and your four-legged children soon.
Chelsey Bell, DVM
Growing up here at the Lake, Dr. Bell is a 2010 graduate of Camdenton High School. She then completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Central Missouri followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine for the University of Missouri in 2018. Post graduation, Dr. Bell spent 4 years practicing in Jefferson City.
Dr. Bell is is married to Brandon Bell, and they have a son, Jackson. Their family includes not only their son, but a menagerie of horses, dogs, and a cat. Her family enjoys the outdoors, such as riding their horses, kayaking and hiking. They especially enjoy camping and trail riding their horses.
“Coming back to practice veterinary medicine at the Lake of the Ozarks just seems like the final piece to the puzzle. When I left the lake area in 2010, I was blessed with scholarships from local businesses and even private individuals from the area who wanted to support my dream of becoming a veterinarian. This is my chance to give back to the community who helped me become the doctor I am today, and I am excited to do so!” -Dr. Bell
Barry Leek, DVM
Dr. Leek has 34 years of practice as a veterinarian, 7 years as a mixed practice owner in Troy, MO, 13 years as an Emergency and Critical care Veterinarian in Orlando, FL then 11 years at the Emergency Vet Clinic in Springfield, MO. For the last 3 years, he has been back in general practice with an emphasis on surgery. He attended Troy, MO High School in 1983, MU College of Agriculture in 1986, and MU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.
Dr. Leek really enjoys challenging cases and surgeries, especially orthopedic surgeries. He spends a big part of his career seeing emergencies and trauma cases, and it is very rewarding to be able to help those patients and owners get through difficult times in critical situations.
What do you like to do in your free time? He is an outdoor person. He enjoys spending as much time as possible with his kids on the lake in the summer, then switch to side-by-side riding and camping in the spring and fall. When winter comes, he tries to get to Florida and enjoy a little fishing with friends.
Grace Jorgensen, DVM
Dr. Jorgensen is originally from northern Illinois, where she grew up and attended college.
She is a 2022 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced mixed animal medicine in central Missouri before joining Osage Animal Hospital.
She loves getting to basics with proper nutrition for all her patients, performing surgeries, and managing internal medicine cases. Most of all, she is passionate about working alongside pet owners to help them make the best decisions for their beloved pet and their families.
Dr. Jorgensen married her husband, Arek, in September of 2022 after they met in Vet school. Together, they have 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks, 1 black Labrador, and two kitties, one completely deaf.
